  • Message from the Chair of Governors

On behalf of the governing body, I am delighted to share with you the Ofsted report that accompanies this letter. We are very pleased with the outcome of the inspection and the many positive things that the inspector singled out for praise. In his feedback to us, he was keen to stress that his overall judgement that the school remained ‘good’ was in no way an indication that it had stayed the same, but rather a recognition of the hard work the school had put in to move forward.  He concluded that the school had been successful in addressing all of the targets set from the previous inspection and in his recommendations endorsed actions the school was already working on as part of its continual desire to get the very best possible outcomes for all children.  The inspector observed that the staff work hard to provide all pupils with first class teaching and learning opportunities and that the caring and supportive ethos of the school was very evident during his visit. As ever, our pupils were a credit to the school and we were very proud of their mature and considered contributions on the day.  We look forward to continuing to work in partnership with parents, staff and pupils to provide the very best outcomes for all our pupils in the coming months and years.

    Best wishes

    Helen Herritty
